It has been an eventful and productive year for Coventry Rugby Club PfS. September saw the start of a restructure of PfS in Coventry in which CRFC and CCFC Pfs centres now operate under single management. This has enabled us to share skills and resources, and strategically target provision.

Prior to the start of the 2006/07 season the club changed ownership. The new owner, Andrew Green, has been very supportive of the PfS mission and the centre continues to be a focal point in the club. The Centre gained QISS emerged status in November 2006 and we found it a very positive experience, enriching both our management and the content of our project. One outcome of the process was the introduction of double sessions (Pizza Super-sessions) for KS 3 students; this has significantly improved our KS 3 attendance figures.

As part of our inclusion agenda we have been working with Alice Stevens Special School. These sessions have been very rewarding and the feedback from the school and the students has been extremely positive.

We have developed a partnership with Coventry University through their Horizon Volunteers programme. Students use their PfS experience to gain accreditation for a degree course module in Volunteering
