Another successful year for Playing for Success in Coventry. Both Centres have now been recognised as providing 'Quality in Study Support' (QiSS) at the Emerged Level. This recognises the hard work of Austin Griffiths, the Centres' Manager and his team.
At the Rugby Club, there has been a trial course of double sessions. Students have spent part of their time on the rugby field, being coached by an RFU Coach and club players. This has been a great success. We now intend to extend the trial to the Autumn term. We would like to thank Cardinal Newman for their help and support with this project.
The 10th December saw another memorable Celebration Evening at the Rugby Club, with no less than 12 Club staff attending. A big thank you to the Club for all their support, with players attending evening sessions as well as the Celebration evening. St Johns Church of England School were unable to attend due to Christmas celebrations at their school. Thanks go to Ronnie Mcclean, our local grown player, and Coventry winger George Dixon who attended their school to present them with their certificates and goodie bags.
